It's still good.It just has to go.

YallaStock is where shops nearby list the stock they need to move this week: short-dated, overstocked, end of line. You see the price they've cut it to, the date it's good until and how far away it is. Then you go and get it.

For shoppers

Three steps. One of them is a walk.

1

Find it

Every listing carries its date, so the list sorts itself: what has to go first, first. No account, no app to install. Open it and look.

Leaving soon

Nothing on the board right now. Shops list through the day.

Why YallaStock

Every shop has a shelf it worries about.

The yogurt with four days left. The case of lemonade nobody reordered. The shampoo in last year's bottle. None of it is bad. It just has to go: this week, not next month.

Usually it gets a sticker and waits for whoever happens to walk past. Some of it sells. The rest goes in the bin behind the shop. By the UN's count, retail alone wastes 131 million metric tons of food a year.

YallaStock puts that shelf in front of everyone nearby, not just whoever walks past. The shop moves it, you pay less, and it gets used, which was the point of making it.

yal·la/ˈjal.la/interjection, from Arabic
Come on; let's go; hurry up. Said when something won't wait.

What ends up on it

Good stock, with a reason to go.

Short dates are only part of it. This is what shops put on YallaStock, and the usual reason why.

For shops

Got a shelf you're worried about?

List it, and the people around you can see it the moment you save: on the deals, on the map, in its aisle. They call or walk in, and you sell it at your own counter, the way you always have.

  1. 1

    Register your shop

Name, type of business, a phone number, your opening hours and your address, pinned on the map. A person checks every shop before it can list.

  2. 2

    List it in a minute

Up to two photos, straight from your phone's camera. The old price and the new one, how many you have, and the last day it's good to use.

  3. 3

    People nearby find it

On the deals, the map and its aisle. It comes down on its own the day after its date.

  4. 4

    See what's working

Views, contacts and direction requests, day by day. Anything that didn't sell, republish with a new date and count.

When you register, you sign that your listings are honest. A false one can get your shop suspended.

  4. 04No account needed to browse, and no app to install.
  5. 05Your location stays yours: rounded to about 100 m, kept on your device, never stored in our database.
  6. 06Only a shopper who picked up an order can review the shop, and a person approves every review.
